SEO: Website Quality Audits
The first step on your SEO journey: a website quality audit. This will give you a sense of where your site is, and where it can go with the proper SEO care. A full SEO WQA contains both technical and keyword SEO information, along with solutions to any current errors affecting your site health.
Technical SEO Audit
For each individual URL, a technical SEO audit investigates two main things:
- Type of content (ie. blog post, resource/guide, landing page)
- Traffic performance & engagement (ie. impressions, clicks, bounce rate)
In this example, I went through 500 separate URLs, choosing individual actions for each URL based on imported Google Analytics and Search Console data. Actions may include:
- Merging multiple URLs into one by combining content
- Redirecting (303) certain URLs
- Deleting (404) URLs that do not serve a purpose/lessen SEO health

Section: SEO Issue Priority List
After creating the technical and content SEO sections of a Website Quality Audit, I create a list of priorities to begin fixing. Certain fixes (most often content) can be accomplished by the client, while other components (often technical) are completed by myself.
Each fix comes with guidance on how to fix the issue, as well as WHY it's important to fix each problem. This way, the client fully grasps why changes must be made, and we can be on the same page regarding importance.
